Guided by the codes of total wellbeing for all and absolute confidentiality, the founder of Eminirekan Charity Organization Prophet/Evang Jackson Afolayan spoke to our news correspondent about the daily operations of the NGO.
In the quiet Town of Okeagbe Akoko Ondo State, Nigeria, the Eminirekan Charity Organisation started like a beehive buzzing with energy.
The NGO is a welfare charity that provides financial assistance to the widows in Nigeria without any form of discrimination and biasedness and will cater for any widow, regardless of how serious their financial situation. It provides a wide range of welfare services ranging from financial assistance to the provision of food and clothing, health care etc.
Officially founded in 2012, Eminirekan Charity Organisation has touched over 500 widows in across Nigeria and are hoping to reach out to a further 1000 widows.
The organization’s activities and structure expanded largely in recent years, attracting huge attention both locally and internationally and accumulating encomium due to the principles that guide its activities.
After defying all obstacles, Evang Jackson Afolayan worked to established his charitable organization and currently the organization has over 10,000 beneficiaries, empowering many youths and widows including supporting financially students writing WAEC, NECO and JAMB.
Speaking to our correspondents on what birt the NGO,
“My name is Prophet/Evang Jackson Afolayan. In 2012 God show me a vision that I should be finding widows, I started this Organization in my home Town Okeagbe Akoko Ondo State, Nigeria. With 5widows I was giving them £50 every month. Am giving them out of my salary. “
Speaking on how he has been financing the organization, the Prophet cum evangelist said, “It is not an easy task at all but God is faithful at all times. Now we have a ministries. The name of the Ministries is Eminirekan Prayer Ministries, All the members are full supporting the Charity”
On how he has been executing the visions of the organization judiciously, he said,
“Vision is all about planning. Vision required action and steps. Don’t separate vision and execution as though they are two different things. We develop our Vision in other to get there.”
Quizzed further if the government has been rendering a helping hand, he respond,
“No! we have not seen or received any help from the government or individual except Eminirekan Prayer Ministries members.”
Rating the organization’s interaction with the host community, he said,
“Eminirekan Charity Organization brings people together action in the community. Thousands of people are beneficiaries from Eminirekan Charity Organization across the community and they appreciate it.”
Asked on the outstanding projects he has executed so far, he answered,
Eminirekan Charity Organization is feeding over 500 widows across Nigeria now we are looking up 1000widows. Also, Eminirekan Charity Organization has empowered many youths and widows, Giving them 10,000, 80,000, 60,00 etc. Buying the Grinding Machines, generators, Fridge, etc. Not only that, last year we pay for students that wrote WAEC and JAMB, this year we plan to increase the number of students.
He stated further that the Charity Organization is planning to sponsor some students to do their master’s degree in abroad.
